“So where have you been? I haven’t heard from you in over a week.” she said playfully.

“We have been a little busy, haven’t we baby?” Jade said, looking at Rachel.

“Yes, very busy.” Rachel grinned.

Lisa slid her hand down Jade’s arm to take her hand and she stopped cold when she took her left hand. She lifted it, looked at it, and her face went ghost white. “Is…is that an engagement ring?” she said, surprised.

Jade’s smile went wide “Yes, it is.” She reached over and grabbed Rachel with her right arm and pulled her in close. “I think you know my fiancée.”

Lisa’s eyes almost popped out of her head. “Isn’t she married already?”

“She is, but technically, I am engaged to both of them.” Jade smiled slyly.

Rachel could almost see the life drain out of Lisa when Jade told her that. She knew Lisa still loved Jade and this had to be a blow to her.

“Oh…wow…uhh, congratulations.” Lisa said flatly and dropped her head a little. “I uhh…I need to go get the chairs ready.
